How to disable automatic log out?

Information about my system:

james@james-OptiPlex-780:~$ uname
Linux
james@james-OptiPlex-780:~$ uname -r
6.8.0-31-generic
james@james-OptiPlex-780:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Release: 24.04
Codename: noble

Desktop environments installed: LXQT and Gnome

I'm having a problem with my system automatically logging out. This could interrupt long running processes. How do I fix this?

#1 run a distribution that does not DO that instead of Ubuntu. or
#2 Hit up Ubuntu support documentation for how to turn that off. Or (My favorite)
#3 Background and detach the process so even if the session logs off the process continues.

What have you already tried?

Is it actually logging you out, or is it just the Screensaver / screen lock kicking in?

I've googled for answers

I've looked at the preferences on my computer

I've checked the documentation, I haven't found anything

I still need to test my computer to make sure this is automatic log out after inactivity.

I should have mentioned I was pretty sure it was a log out.

I just found out some of my screensavers in Xscreensaver was causing log outs.

Thread solved.
