xnetpkg, can not see selected items
I have installed Zenwalk 8.0 yesterday. I might not be using it the proper way, but still believe my problem could be solved.
I have compiled from source and installed IceWM and using it instead of default Xfce. Everything works, so far, except for one small detail. I am unable to see what have I selected in xnetpkg. My selections are the same color as non-selected items, there is no check marks or anything. It worked fine with Xfce. Also, I removed .gtkrc, meaning I am now using system default scheme, which I like. I can't see which mirrors are active and what packages have I selected for installation. I can select them "blindly" and they install correctly, but, still it is most inconvenient. Perhaps I need to add that most of my work I am doing from Vector Linux, which is quite similar, so I know what am I doing most of the time, at least. UPDATE: I have noticed that I am missing button labels, as well. I had the same issue with Xfce when I switched to Faenza icon theme. |
Welcome to the forum. This is interesting as I am considering switching from xfce to
fluxbox on my Zenwalk 8. |
I think it might have to do something with gdkpixbuf, but I am completely unfamiliar with it. I tried to figure something out from source, but xnetpkg is written in Perl, and I'd rather stick my hand into public toilet than touch Perl :).

It looks like something's wrong with the icon theme : if the "stars" which indicate active mirrors don't show in the drop down list of the URL bar : then it could be that the "star icons" can't be found in the icon theme.
