Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS – Does it have a Virtual Keyboard
Hello,
I have Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS. Does it have a Virtual Keyboard? When I am at the login screen, at the bottom left, it is possible to click on Virtual Keyboard. Then, I can click on the letters to type in the password and log in. Once I am logged in, I don’t see any Virtual Keyboard app. |
A search for kubuntu soft keyboard yields quite a few interesting-looking results, such as https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comment...reen_keyboard/.

Thanks.
I downloaded OnBoard from Discover. They should just package this with Kubuntu by default. It is a basic need like Kate, Kcalc, LibreOffice. |

Or maybe it is for you. I wouldn't want any of these on a default install, and not a virtual keyboard either. Why? I have a real keyboard. |
Same here -- I don't consider a virtual keyboard to be "a basic need" and I would not want it included by default.

In the end, it's up to you. You choose what you install or not install. If you don't like what you find in Kubuntu, you have options: Install what's missing, use something else, make suggestions or get involved. |
