In a recent update to NVK, Faith Ekstrand landed support in Mesa for the VK_KHR_shader_maximal_reconvergence and VK_KHR_shader_subgroup_uniform_control_flow extensions. Properly implementing these required a good bit of compiler engineering. This is the story of what went wrong and how it was fixed.
