PS to PDF conversion.
 

Anybody know how to convert ps to pdf without ps2pdf command?

I guess there's a lot of software around to do that, but isn't that the easiest way? What's wrong with using ps2pdf (from a *tex package for example)?

You can do it directly with gs (ghostscript). The ps2pdf* collection are just front ends to gs that set up the various options.
