nVidia driver and SuSE 9.0 Pro
 

I think I've been over all the posts in the SuSE forum and I've read the nVidia driver readme for the driver and for SuSE users. So I'm asking...

YOU will download the driver for me but it always hangs on the installation. I've left it on all night before but no help. Is there a problem/drawbacks with installing it the old fashioned way outside of X and editing the config files myself?

As long as you follow the special SuSE instructions on the nVidia site you should be fine.

Have you tried installing the driver from different SuSE sites or have you just been going from one site? If you have not tried it yet try installing from a different mirror.

Search this forum for nvidia and SuSE. All you have to use is YaST, do an online update and choose nvidia update drivers.
