How can I remove the aquamarine contour map graphic from the boot process?

On my opensuse 13.2 machine I want to get rid of the animated aquamarine contour map graphic featured in the boot process. So I've changed the boot/grub theme, the KDM theme and the splashscreen but the aquamarine contour map still appears between the boot/grub theme and the KDM theme. How can I get rid of it? Does it have a particular name?

Thanks.

Well, I removed something called Plymouth, and now there's no more horrible graphic, just a black screen between the the boot and KDM themes. Much better.
