pam_unix_cred: cannot load ttyname Error 0

We received a VM running Solaris 10 After reconfiguring network interfaces to get it on our network, we're getting "pam_unix_cred: cannot load ttyname Error 0" when any accountt ries to log in at the console. I can ssh in just fine. Googling suggests this may have something to do with Trusted Extensions, but I don't know nearly enough about that to arrive at a conclusion without an awful lot of research and experimentation. Hoping someone can get me steered in the right direction!

Is there any possible way to start it natively (no VM)? I imagine probably not...

For some reason I've never had much luck running Solaris in a VM long-term. It seems at some point eventually something breaks and I can't fix it. I've dedicated an older Mac Pro to running Solaris natively.

Hopefully you can get a more helpful answer from someone else... good luck!

LOL... we have a VM to virtualize the legacy Solaris stuff that's running on ancient, unsupported hardware :-)

This may be a hostname issue. I'll see if a hosts entry fixes this.
