Disable GUI Desktop on Solaris 10.
dear all,
I am a newbie on Solaris. Currently, I am installing the newest version ( Solaris 10 ). As the used machine is limited in resources, I need to disable the GUI desktop to free unused resources. Please let me know on how to do it. Thank you in advance. :) Note : As I am very familiar with RedHat Linux, it is simply edit /etc/inittab and change the inital runlevel to 3 to disable the desktop/GUI. |
To disable the GUI startup: /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -d
And, to enable it again: /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -e |
Dear AgentX,
it works !!! Thank you. |
