polkit-0.115 upgrade (Nov19) creates havoc

After today's -current upgrades and a reboot I could no longer connect via NetworkManager, getting the message "Not autorized to connet networking". A lot of stuff stopped working - couldn't open a terminal, couldn't connect a USB drive and so on.
Login as root was just as bad.
Managed to downgrade to polkit-0.113 and all is well.
Don't know if there's something dodgy with the new polkit package or if the explanation is to be found elsewhere?

Just checking, did you add the new SpiderMonkey package and remove the old SpiderMonkey package?

Code:

Mon Nov 19 02:46:11 UTC 2018
l/js185-1.0.0-x86_64-2.txz:  Removed.
l/libwebp-1.0.1-x86_64-1.txz:  Upgraded.
l/mozjs52-52.9.0esr-x86_64-1.txz:  Added.
Required by the new version of polkit.
l/polkit-0.115-x86_64-1.txz:  Upgraded.
  Thanks to Robby Workman.

Let us know.

Hi, I can confirm strange things happen. Here I have problems with window compositor in Xfce and KDE after while is unresponsive. What caught my eyes was: xscreenserver starting with effective uid/gid 100/43. The 100 is my own uid but the 43 is gid of 'shadow' group. Does it mean should I be aware because possible polkit now is compromised?

Thanks a lot, Chuck. Seems as if I'm not the first, nor the last, who doesn't read the changelog carefully enough. Now where's that "embarrassed" smiley?

No, that's not even wrong. Probably you missed the replacement of js185 with mozjs52. Re xscreensaver running as uid=you and gid=shadow, this is expected; that's how it can check to be sure you entered the correct password to unlock it.
