mpv's interface

According to Arch's Wiki:

Quote:

mpv provides an elegant User Interface called OSC which appears when moving the mouse.
I don't have that, I've isntalled mpv from SBo and all I have is a window with the movie going on.

This thing. I have just the video playing, nothing else.

EDIT: Upgraded it to mpv 0.7.1 and waf to 1.8.4 and now it works, just a heads up to anyone having the same problem.

0.7.1 already? I only put 0.7.0 on the other day.

I build mine without lua, so I wouldn't have noticed. :)

It was released less than 24 hours ago!

0.7.1 ... that came quick... I'll get the slackbuild updated tonight.

Note: unless there is a very compelling reason, I won't be updating waf
version until mpv's build does.

GazL 12-05-2014 03:45 AM

0.7.1 won't build with the waf used in 0.7.0. My build script keeps a cached copy of the last waf it pulled down to save having to fetch it each time, and I had to delete it and let it pull a new version.

moisespedro 12-05-2014 07:13 AM

Why would it be upgrading waf a bad thing?

j_v 12-05-2014 03:00 PM

Sorry, I actually meant that I wouldn't be exceeding the waf version used by the current mpv build system. The one used by both 0.7.0 and 0.7.1 is the same (1.8.1). I always use same the version pulled in by the bootstrap.py script. I have build and run tested this version with success; the SBo package update is in the queue for the next Public Update. If you run into any issues building with the mpv slackbuild or issues running mpv built with the slackbuild, feel free to let me know and I will do my best to help.

Oh ok, I will be glad to report any problem I find.
