My acx100 cards show up as an ethX device not wlan0.

Look at the output of iwconfig.

If you can't figure it out, post the output of iwconfig and the error message that kismet give.

the problem is the config parameter i give kismet.
kismet -c acx100,wlan0,acx100_source
it finds wlan0, but not acx100....
so i need that parameters correctly!
iwconfig is right!
only the params of kismet itself!

Try

source=orinoco,wlan0,orinoco

This is what I used.

yes, that was default...
but as i told you, i use an acx100 driver / module for my card.
by testing kismet_unmonitor, it tells me: Unknown card type 'acx100'. Doing nothing.

does nobody know the shit parameters?!

As moosedaddy said - specifying Orinoco works.

after booting and loading the driver successfully, i tried it:
(i am sure it is running correctly, because i can ping to my other local friends... but i can not use kismet on this way :-( => to scan etc)

Make sure you have entered your user ID in the Kisnet.conf file. I have used that configuration in Mandrake 9.2 and 10CR without any problems.
