USB SATA WD HDD will not spin down


Hi,

Could you help me please with getting the timeout/spin-down status of my SATA drive?

And also setting this too. I have tried -

Code:
sudo hdparm -I /dev/sdd | grep level
..but it does not display anything.

Apparently your SATA to USB bridge has limited functionality, unfortunately it's not uncommon.

Hi, I just thought it would be ok as my USB HDD Seagate spins down on the same Ubuntu system.

It's in the disk, not in PC
