Problems after World Update [Solved]
 

Hey,
After readin the post about world updatin I decided 2 upgrade my sabayon system. Just before the upgrade was complete my laptop lost Internet connectivity, prbly due 2 the networkmanager 0.7.0 upgrade. And accordin 2 the post I was supposed to update my drivers/modules, I tried equo install nvidia driver but it said culd nat contact server. In addition I cannot downgrade the networkmanager bcuz I can't connect to the Internet. Now the login screen is messed up and it doesn't let me in to my sabayon home desktop. Any help pls? How can I update my video card driver n networkmanager 0.6.0 if m nat connected 2 the Internet?

i have a Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller, do i need new drivers for this? i guess this is the reason why my screen is all grey with only a terminal in the center and a window that says xsm:default in the left hand side of my screen?

if you're sure your problem is fixed by needing the internet, then your best bet is probably finishing that upgrade. A relatively easy way to do that is to boot from any linux liveCD or liveDVD, mount your Sabayon root partition, and chroot into that partition. then you can just operate as if you actually had command-line access to your sabayon system, and complete your updates.
