Exam fee requested (by Redhat) as a monthly payment. Exam is canceled by redhat and I already paid for it twice.

The RHCSA exam on November 13th was unfortunately canceled in Dublin. I received the refund from my payment.

But now 400 euro has been witdrawn again. I heard from my bank that it was done via a standing order (something that I have never agreed with).

It is already 10 days ago when Redhat promised the refund from the second payment.

I have never done any exam and already paid for it. Couldn't Redhat solve this nicely and in a proper way?

I had to cancel my credit card to prevent more payments to be made to Redhat. I had never expect this when booking the exam.

So??????

contact redhat

Agreed. Talk to someone at Red Hat.

You're right. But I just want to make people aware of this, it could happen to anybody booking this exam.

I am talking to them for some time already

gerko 12-15-2015 12:28 PM

Redhat keeps repeating the same questions. They seem not willing to help me.

I have been trying to get my money back since 10 days (the latest money was taken 14 days ago). Multiple emails have been sent each day. Calling them does not help. I do not have the feeling that they take me serious, while they seriously took 400 euro's from my account!

I am very surprised that a company like Redhat could bring it this far.

This message is just to make other people aware, it seems to be one of the only places where I can speak out about this.

Get with your credit card company and dispute the charges, let them know you didn't get what you paid for.

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it.

I have done that. I had to attach all communication with redhat, which could barely fit in an A4 envelope.

Finally it's solved..

Unfortunately it took 7 weeks, and really a lot of effort from my side to arrange this. Everything went better when I contacted USA department(I'm based in europe).

After the 1st 4 weeks, the EMEA team still didn't understand the issue and did not help me further, I spoke to managers as well.

my bank did not seem to care at all, which is a shame.
