Power Management

How do I customize Puppy Power Management Settings such as screen saver, standby mode, display shut down, etc.?

Check this page out, you might find what you're looking for, it has puppy video tutorials: http://www.rhinoweb.us/

Else, click on the chat button on the desktop, and post your question. I've had several queries, and they always answer within the minute.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you find out, I'd like to know as well!

Thanks for your response.

The link "http://www.rhinoweb.us/" was not very helpful. It didn't address my issue, and the information found there is several versions behind 5.2

Could you be more specific about this "chat" button?

Sure, I'll try and post a screenshot and get back to you.

I've circled the chat button on the default puppy 5.1.1 desktop

Click on the button. You will then be asked to create a username (no emails, passwords or anything, just a username). You will then be automatically entered into a public chat room. Post your question and 99% of the time you'll get a reply. For example, I didn't know how to take a screenshot of the desktop for you, and I asked in the puppy chat and they told me!

Keep us posted if you find a reply, I'd like to know myself!

Good luck

...screen saver, standby mode, display shut down, etc.?
1. screen saver: Menu-Desktop-pupX-Screensaver;
other approach: menu-Desktop-Xlock

2. stand-by: consider this

3. display-shutdown: automatically after 5 minutes.; if you want to turn off the blank screen
