How to boot Puppy Linux on an AML-S905X-CC running Ubuntu [aarch64, arm]

Hello,

I'm currently using Ubuntu to mess around with Linux, I am fairly new to it and have been using it for only about a month and a half or so. GRUB is being used to boot into Ubuntu, and I have restored the bionicpup64-8.0-uefi.iso image to a storage device using Ubuntu's Disks utility. I am not so sure how to boot it from GRUB, it does not show in the GRUB menu.

Thanks,
-Silas

Here's a very quick search from how to boot a live iso image from GRUB: https://www.howtogeek.com/196933/how...ur-hard-drive/
I hope it helps? :hattip:

Did you run
Code:

sudo update-grub
The more details given on what you did/try the better someone can help.

Thanks for the response,
I am using a 4GB SDHC and just am using a usb adapter to plug it in. I have not tried updating GRUB, I will try that.

How could I install it on an internal partition? [would booting from a normal 4GB SD card work?]

Yes, I have tried to ask, but they suggested a libretech boot-from-usb program, which I tried. Depending on the OS installed on this computer, it may have another boot loader. Ubuntu has GRUB 2.02, it seems I cant get grub to recognize anything, I tried a different Ubuntu distro and tried the chain loader command in grub but couldn't get it to boot.

let see if I have this straight, you flashed ubuntu image to the drive, get to a grub> prompt and get stuck, so now you are attempting to install something different hoping it will boot correctly?
