gparted problem in xenialpup

Hello
I have a dell vostro 1320 running xp, xenialpup64 7.5, and tahr64 605 on an ocz agility3 ssd. Gparted will not find my four partitions with either of my two os but a live cd tahr605 32 bit will see four partitions with no trouble.
BTW live cd xenialpup 7.5 32 bit also wont find partitions.
Has anyone any ideas why.
Thanks
diode84

Maybe because the drives are mounted but with a live system they are not mounted. Just a guess

I have tried the partitions mounted and unmounted. Also tried gparted live cd, no better.
My tahr605 32 bit cd has gparted version 0.16.1 gnome partition manager and it works as normal. Anything else I have live or not is gparted v 0.25 to v3. They dont work for me.
How can I downgrade to v 0.16.1.

@diode84:-

I have heard various rumblings around the Puppy Forums about some folks having this problem, too.

If you want to try 'downgrading' to v0.16.1, you can get it from my MediaFire a/c, here:-

http://www.mediafire.com/file/4ejw5v....16.1-i386.pet

If you want to try this with a LiveCD, fine. If you want to try this with an install, then follow the usual advice; back your save-file/folder up first, before installing.

Let us know what happens, please.

Mike. ;)

Thanks Mike
I will try that.

That wouldn't run so I uninstaled gparted 0.25 and tried again, it asked what drive to scan, I chose and it did no more.
Any ideas.
