All of a sudden I don't stay logged into the site. I have to keep logging in. I have cookies enabled and am using firefox latest version. All other message boards I visit are fine.
I have this problem too. I did not change anything on my system, but since approx. 1 week I'm getting logged out every approx. 10 minutes. This is annoying, since if you composed a response and click on submit, you get the answer, that you are not allowed to do this and have to log in.
I expect, that something was changed at LQ, because my local configuration is the same as one month ago, where everything worked fine.
The attack bit was a joke. I am just making a humble assumption. Since I can login to all other sites which I am a member of. In fact load any site i care to mention. My name servers are fine. LQ is the are the only server with these symptoms, it only leaves me thinking something must be causing LQ servers to be over worked. To reiterate it takes over five minutes to login to LQ.
Well, for me it is getting worse by the day, to such extent that it's taken this long to respond to this. Since my personal data is on an external drive I scrapped my Mandriva for Centos 5.4. With a fresh Firefox I tried to log in to LQ. Lo and behold the exact same problem. For good measure I deleted cookies. Still the same. I am going to try to log in with my Windows Firefox and let you know. Don't hold your breath for a quick reply though...!

It seemed to be the whole site because even going from one thread to another within the LQ site responded with the same delayed page load. Having said that, it seems to be OK today. I will keep you updated.
