quick reply not shown when another poster gets there first
when using the quick reply, if someone posts between page load and post submit, the posted message does not show.

when using the quick reply, if someone posts between page load and post submit, the posted message does not show, only the other posters one.

Just did it, Linus72 was faster and I use double punctuation to get rid of duplicate post detected. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-setup-707097/ Edit:huh? A few minutes later, both were there... Weird.

FWIW this happened a few times to me too. It's annoying and inefficient and there's no way to get the reply text back when using quick reply instead of advanced.

This bug department is an area that I look at very little (I don't often visit the main page where the link is) but FWIW, this happens on a somewhat regular basis for me. I am only posting this now because I see unspawn has also posted in here recently about this issue.

Does it help for debugging if we provide the link/page/post where the event happens? If so, I will next time it happens.
