The thread is indeed displayed in bold in the results
Search settings:
find posts by user; exact name
any prefix
search all open forums; also search child forums
at least 0 replies
any date and newer
last posting date in descending order
For reference, searchid=3495233 (not sure if that helps). I'm not quite sure under which conditions it happens.
Due to the way we bump threads with no replies, you may see issues like this. If the thread in question did have a reply, please let me know as and I'll change the bug status and look into this further.
OK,I think that I know what the problem is. I often visit the search twice in one session. It happened just now again and it states somewhere "Search took 0.35 seconds; generated 53 minute(s) ago". So the results of the search are the old results. If however in those 53 minutes a new post occured in one of the found threads, it will be highlighted (bold) and in the wrong position (sort order).
