Shotwell photo management application
 

Hi everybody,

I spent a few days fiddling around with the Shotwell photo managing application under CentOS, and I must say I really like it. I just tested it in a VM running MLED 14.2, and it integrates nicely.

I'm planning on replacing the bone-headed Gthumb with Shotwell over the next few days. I want it to become MLED's standard picture managing application. There's a handful of extra dependencies, but nothing too difficult to manage. Plus, one big advantage is Shotwell handles all modern cameras, even PTP. So at least we can get rid of the crappy Gtkam application.
