No sound in real/helix streams

Hey Guys,

I have a strange problem, whenever i try to play something in real or helix, i get no sound. There is no error given in the terminal about this, so i can only presume that it is a conflict between the xine engine (amarok) and the helix engine (realplayer). Is there anyway to resolve this because it is very annoying as amarok won't play the streams that i want (i.e radio1)
Cheers
Graham

To play the various music/video files, you need to install the codecs(for playing Windows streaming files) and plugins

1) Install w32codec-all(contains the media player windows codec dlls for several multimedia formats)which can be found at: http://packman.links2linux.de/package/046

Also, because HelixPlayer interferes with the browser plug-in function of RealPlayer we will remove it. Type:

yum remove HelixPlayer

It nothing to do with the codecs, i have them all installed. I think its something to do with a conflict between the xine and helix engines, when i close down amarok, for some reason it doesn't dissolve its connection with ALSA and so helix based programmes can't play sound. Anybody got any ideas?? Also on mandriva it would be urpme helix not yum!!
