Epiphany and Firefox won't work
 

I just installed a fresh Mandriva 2010/Gnome 2.8 on my Dell Dimension 4100. Install seemed to go fine with no issues.

After install, I connected the network cable. Network was detected and I got an IP address.

I clicked on Firefox, and it didn't open. I opened Epiphany to check the internet connection. Typed in the address for yahoo, and the page loaded...... Then closed. Same results after the second trial, and the third.

On reboot the same thing happened again. It is puzzling because it actually loads the web page before it closes (Epiphany only).

Does anyone have any why this is going on and how to fix it?

I am currently doing the updates as we speak, perhaps that will correct the issue.

Run Firefox from terminal and post the output here. Same with Epiphany.
