Call to lnusertemp failed {temporary directories full?}. Check your installation ?
I received this error message "Call to lnusertemp failed {temporary directories full?}. Check your installation." on login.
Solution: Logged in as root and I moved large files to my /home/ directory. Problem solved. Operatiing system: PCLinux OS d-1 |

since there were no large files to move anywhere in my directories (new installation) I followed the thread provided by aus9 and ehawk and found that I too had lost ownership of my home directory. Can't figure out how THAT happened but I corrected it using the instructions I found on the linked page and

I had the same problem, but for a different reason. After installing a bunch of packages, my /etc/passwd file was no longuer world readable. That caused lnusertemp to fail, made prompt and 'whoami' return "I have no name!"...
