Call to lnusertemp failed {temporary directories full?}. Check your installation ?

I received this error message "Call to lnusertemp failed {temporary directories full?}. Check your installation." on login.

Solution: Logged in as root and I moved large files to my /home/ directory.

Problem solved.

Operatiing system: PCLinux OS

Thank you!

since there were no large files to move anywhere in my directories (new installation) I followed the thread provided by aus9 and ehawk and found that I too had lost ownership of my home directory. Can't figure out how THAT happened but I corrected it using the instructions I found on the linked page and
everything works normally now

Thanx again!

All Success

I had the same problem, but for a different reason. After installing a bunch of packages, my /etc/passwd file was no longuer world readable. That caused lnusertemp to fail, made prompt and 'whoami' return "I have no name!"...

Thougth I'd post here in case anyone else gets this.
