I tried to go into the chat area. I used the option to register. Then I typed in the registered information and clicked on chat. When I click on chat my typed info dissappears and it remains on the same screen.
I am able to verify the user info by using the option to edit the info.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Were you logged in when you clicked on chat? If so please let me know exacly what screen you get after clicking on chat. Thank you.

The same screen. It doesn't change. The only thing that happens is the information typed in dissappears. It appears that the program is suggesting the wrong login information is being typed it, without giving an error message. As I mentioned, I verified the information by going in to edit my profile. I even changed the password. It also prompts for your login information when you go to the option to "edit your profile".

HMM

It should prompt you for login info when you try to edit your profile. Have you tried deleting all cookies related to the site and then logging on? Also, what happens if you just visit the URL http://www.linuxquestions.org/chat1 ?

The application seems to be working at this time. I can see the recent things that I had typed in when I log into the application.
