my schoo is in USA, florida, broward county, ft.lauderdale. its name is DATA (Downtown Acadamey of Technology and Arts) and it only has 7 rooms. its only got art, reading, language arts, science, and math. one rooms the office and ones a compute lab with about 20 computers. we have been trying to get a new building that would give us access to P.E. and a cafateria. it would let us get alot of things even for a small school. but theres one problem...money. my school has a building that we can buy but we need about $3,000:twocents: . so i was just asking if you can please do something...anything to help improuve it. if you dont believe me contact me at kvasir@comcast.net. so please help us or at least email me.

What makes you think that this would be a good way to raise money, and that anyone here would help you?

This thread is clearly SPAM, and I have reported it for closure.

im sorry

im sorry but what other way can a 7th grader collect money?

IBall 04-27-2007 10:01 PM

Why would a 7th grader be raising money?

Surely your school would have a Board or P&C that is responsible for raising money?

Online solicitations for money are not permitted at LQ. This thread has been reported for closure.

bugstomper 04-27-2007 10:13 PM

im sorry

im sorry but i need ideas and this was one of the best one. if i find a way to remotly contact bill gates like what i was trying to do. so what do you propose?

IBall 04-27-2007 10:26 PM

Cake stall, raffle, fundraising chocolates (In Australia, Cadbury's offer Freddo Frogs that you buy off them for $0.50, and sell for $1. I would imagine other confectionary companies in the US will offer something similar. This can be a very lucrative fundraiser, as everyone knows the fundraiser boxes and will buy a few. Everyone likes choccy).

Also, quiz night, fun run. The possibilities are endless.

Online solicitations, however, will never work.

okay im sorry but i got karate tommorw morning so i got to go to bed night. any ideas what to do wtih karate for money?

If your school is short of funds, you need to contact your city's mayor, your state governor, the school board, your Senator or House of Representatives congressman, etc. Posting at a Linux technical forum and soliciting money is a totally ineffective way to try to resolve a local school funding issue.

Unfortunately this type of thread falls under advertising and is being closed. LQ is not a place to raise money, there are plenty of other ways to achieve such things, just not here.
