StartX Problem in Madrake 9.0 Solved!!!!!!
 

Hey Guys,

few days back I had problem starting X in Mandrake 9.0. I installed Red Hat 8.0 twice and Mandrake 9.0 thrice nothing worked. So finally I found the solution. Both of these dint had updated drivers for my INTEL 845G displlay. I downloaded them and made change to XFreeConfig..and it worked well..

so this is for someone one who has or will have same problem

I have an intel 845GE card and I can start X without problems.
The only thing is that the cards full capacity is not being used. In windows the graphics are way better than under linux.

I have installed the drivers from intel for linux and adjusted my XFConfig file, but the card remains slow.

Have any ideas?
