Measuring RGB color under cursor

I need a program that will measure the color of whatever the cursor is over.

Actually, I think I already downloaded the program but I can't remember the name of it.

That's one of the few things I dislike about Linux, it's easy to lose programs you've installed. In windows they're usually in one of the start menus.

Are you looking for something like grabc or something more like gcolor2? Also, I bet there is a way to do what you describe with ImageMagick.

If you are using KDE then there is an applet called "color picker"
just right click the taskbar and click "Add applet to panel" and you will find "color picker" in the list

ps: try restarting your session and you will find the program in the menu (If it is supposed to be there) or just type its name in "Run command" or xterm or,... well any equivilant :)
