When you install Mandrake 7 it uses a boot loader called GRUB instead of lilo, I have no idea how to config it so I can dual boot linux and win2k or even BeOS

Well, I installed Mandrake 7.2 (and I am newbie) so for whatever is worth - I will give you my experience.

In Mandrake, go to DrakConf and then to DrakeBoot. There you will have the options of LILO Configuration. Click on the option "LILO is used to boot this system" and next time you boot it should start with LILO instead of GRUB. From then on I hope you know how to configure it (because I don't).:o)

Personally, I preferred GRUB and managed to reconfigure it how I wanted.

For that option, go to Terminal console...to \ directory...to boot directory and then I think the file is called menu.lst or something like that. Use the "vi file name" command and from then on you can make changes as you wish.

I would be more precise about the file but still didn't manage to configure my entranet card so to be able to give you proper directions from LINUX.:o)
