Will "yum reinstall httpd" and "yum reinstall php" mess with my settings?

Hi All,

For some reason overnight our linux webserver has started issuing SIGTERM commands for httpd and bringing down our sites during the night (UK time)... All seems fine during the day. The only thing that has changed since this started happening is plesk was updated to version 10.2.

The only option I can think of is to reinstall httpd and php - both of which are fully up to date already. But would this action mess with my settings / configurations on the server or just reinstall the application and continue as it was?

This is a production web server and it's critical that there are minimal outages for the particular clients that are on it.

Many Thanks - Trev

If these are true

httpd and php - both of which are fully up to date
then re-installing those 2 should have zero effect in terms of solving your issue.
Either you need to rollback Plesk, or (probably) talk to your hosting company...

Hi Chris,

Ok, I found info saying it might but I'm at a loss as to what to do. Our hosting company kindly say to us "You are the system administrator, we can't do anything". Yet they were the ones to tell us we had to upgrade Plesk immediately. I'm unaware of how to roll back, I'd love to be back on Version 9.2, it was so much simpler for our needs than the later 10.2.

Kind Regards - Trev
