Suggested directory permissions for web server
 
Hello friends, I would like to know according to your experiences the permissions that the directories should have for a linux web server.

My query is by way of review, I was seeing many suggestions after a search with Google.

Directories should be 755
Files should be 644

Although, if you want to have shared access to the directories so that several different accounts can edit then a more difficult approach is required at least for the EXT file systems.
