Postfix/Dovecot - thunderbird queries server fine but finds no mail
 

I recently set up postfix/dovecot/amavisd-new/clamav/spamassassin on my server. Somewhere between the initial install and the crazy nightmarish amavis config, I seem to have broken something. I can send mail to an account on the server and it arrives just find and goes into the mailbox. When I check mail with squirrelmail on the server I see the messages there and they are spam filtered and virus-free - it is a beautiful thing.

HOWEVER when I login from my desktop machine using thunderbird, I never find any mail. It appears to authenticate just fine without complaints using TLS and all that but it won't find messages even though I am certain there should be some for download.

Can anyone help me find out what the problem is? This is what the maillog looks like when i check w/t-bird:
No complaints or anything.

Perhaps you should connect to the imap port rather than the pop3 port?
