Dovecot is hiding my mail ?
 

I have setup up sendmail & dovecot on an FC4 system.

Everything seems fine, I can sent email & I can receive email into user accounts, but I cannot retrieve email using pop3 protocols.

I have tried oe & it shows empty mailbox
I have tried telnet on port 110 & it shows empty mailbox

When I look into the email account /var/spool/mail/xxxx, I can see there is email. And when I log in as the user & run the mail client program I can see the email

I am sure I must have missed something simple, any advise welcome.

POP3 activation
 

Hai friend did u uncoment pop3 in /etc/dovecot
open that file and find "protocols"
then add pop3 ther
thats all. it will work for u.(I think).
If it notwork just send me reply.

try to telnet to your Dovecot server at port 110. If it fails it means that you didn´t uncommented protocol POP3 in dovecot configuration.
