> I'm proud to announce that LQ turned 19 yesterday!
As this was posted in januari 2019, this site should now have passed its 20th birthday. Congratulations! |
Happy Anniversary!!! 2020
Happy Anniversary! 2020 will be a GREAT YEAR!!
FLOURISH AND PROSPER! |
Nice, nice congragulations. I'm a pretty new Linux user myself, but I love it. One of the things I would suggest for this site, would be to improve the aesthetics and UI. This might seem a bit useless, and I don't know the costs of such an operation, but I feel like if you want more new people to stay here and sort out their Linux issues (instead of going to Quora.com or something like that) I think improving the looks might be a solid step.
And also yes, I myself want such an update :) |
Well, I just logged back in after 15 years. :) I remember you jeremy. I remember you helped me when I was only 19 trying to figure out everything from scratch.
I just wanted to thank this community helping me a lot understand the basics and for making who I am today. My career is simply built on top of the knowledge I gathered in here. I'm so happy, so grateful. I hope I can do something back to show my gratitude. |
CONGRATS!!!!

Suggest larger font
Maybe there is a way to do this but my old eyes find the forums difficult to read. I'd suggest making the font larger or rearranging the screen to separate, larger windows for each box

In this place i found strong professionals and great people who helps me a lot moving towards my new profession. Very rarely you can find so much support in the world.
Congratulations on your 19th. year and Happy New Year, dear forum! |
Absolutely no one: is this forum based on a linux server or windows?

You are the BEST
Great going Jeremy,
I have been in and out of Linux for years and it is always your site I come to for information. I just killed Windows 10 on a new PC computer and installed Linux Mint 19. This time, I intend to stay with Linux. The Linux operating system is just so much cleaner than windows, you can almost hear your PC sigh with relief when you switch over to Linux! In any case , thank you Jeremy! |
Hmm, so this site was only a toddler when I decided to try this Linux thing I had heard about, in mid-2003....
|
Congrats, glad to be a member here!

I'm turning 71 in 3 days. I've been on LQ since 2008. Haven't been as regular the last decade or so. I've been trying to get more people more insterested in LQ. Hope it works/helps.
