Streaming video sites?

I've been having trouble finding places to stream video. Back in Windows, I could use Launch, iTunes music store, MTV, Winamp, etc. With Linux, I've only found using Real Media Player and their website. Most require WMP or activex or something like that. I was kind of hoping to be able to stream the video on Winamp, but I haven't found a way. I'm looking for music videos and other miscellaneous videos (news, tv previews, etc). Any suggestions?

I'm using xine mozilla plug-in on firefox. That way I get some streaming videos work. Some demands activeX thou. Works fine although crashes the browser sometimes, but works great when I try again.

I also use the xine mozilla plugin under Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox, I had to use rpm2tgz to convert a red hat package since I was unable to find the cvs version of it. It works great with everything I've tried so far as long as I have all the plugins. The nice thing about the xine plugin for mozilla is that it does display everything inside the browser screen unlike gXine's plugin which opens gxine window.

For example, how can you get MTVs videos to work or Winamps video streams? That's what I'm having trouble with. I got Apple's movie trailer site to work.

I went to http://winamp.com/videos/ and was able to stream their videos, although xine's mozilla plugin didn't automatically detect it I was able to assign pls to Xine and whenever I clicked on one of the videos Xine would open and play it for me.
