Stage 1 Geom Error
 

I have OpenLinux e Desktop2.4
it is on the secondary channel primary drive

windows 98 with bootmagic is on the priamry channel

I can boot in to win 98 no problem as long as I use the BM

when I chose the linux os the first thing it says is:

Stage1 Geom Error

and sit's there.

It does boot from the rescue disk as long as I chose the.

Boot from floppy option.

Help Please. I'm just trying to build tis machine to start learning programming. An I want to learn more about Linux as well.

you didn't state which boot manager your using, so i don't really have any other leads. hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.

I use Power Quest(sorry forgot to add that) But I was curious whether it would do the same thing with red hat 8.

With RH BM it didn't but when I reloaded PQ it did. The I couldn't get the RH boot Disk to work, O Well.
