Problem uploading files to webpages.

No matter which browser I use, I can't upload files to webpages. Specifically images. I have a photobucket account and like uploading pictures to show. However, when I click the Upload button all I get is 'sending request to s78.photobucket.com...' and nothing else. I wait, nothing happens. Same when I try uploading an image to my Yahoo Profile. I get an error that pops up (on every browser) saying "Document contains no data." and an OK button. That's it. Nothing else happens. I try again, and I go fix myself something to eat or drink, come back and the error message is there. Now, here's the deal. I have Firestarter Installed and Configured with strict rules. But, even if I connect without the firewall starting, I get the same issue. I'm new to configuration file editing and so on, but I've become very adept with using ViM and other text editors. I'm no computer newbie, just new to Linux. I thought maybe it was my firewall but I don't know if it is or not. Has anyone else has this problem and could someone help me?

Is your computer connection fast enough?

Also, is it like you get a consistent connection without getting disconnected when you are in them middle of something?

The problem maybe due to the internet connection itself.
What is the type of the Internet you are using?

Yes, my connection is Dialup but here's the thing. I have no issues with sending e-mails as text, AT ALL. Yet I can't send e-mails with pictures or as HTML either. I have had no issues downloading things. I'm not sure what the heck this problem is. My modem is a PCMCIA Card Modem v.92, 56k.

Maybe you should try uploading small files.

If I am right, Photobucket has a limit on the size of the pics to be uploaded. Not sure if that is causing the problem.

Also, your dial-up connection seems to be breaking in a while leading you to such problems!

I've got no experience with dealing with PCMCIA cards....but take care that it is within the required range (or lol..that kinda stuff) ..make sure you have made the required adjustments for getting the optimum connection.

Problems uploading files.

Here's the thing,
My modem is a PCMCIA, I connect at 115,200 all the time and I have No Problems with Downloading. It's uploading problems ONLY. And that's it! That's all the file transfer issues I have! That, and sending files to someone else, that's also considered an Upload problem I'm sure. I really don't know what the issue is, I thought at first it was Firestarter, or maybe GAIM and every single Browser, and E-Mail client I have! I can send e-mail, text and html only but I can't send ATTACHMENTS of any kind. So what the hell could it be? It makes no sense, yet there it is. I get the error "Document contains no data." I try again, and again, same result.
