Partitioning hard drive in linux

is it possible for me to create a new (smaller) partition on my hard drive (with linux) without losing the data i have on the drive.. my disk is partitioned like this:
Code:

[root@localhost root]$ df
Filesystem          1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda2            37341064  4094524  31349668  12% /
/dev/hda1              101089      9206    86664  10% /boot
none                    256916        0    256916  0% /dev/shm

I need windows to run some program.. I have been windoze free for past 6 months :)
thanks in advance

I doubt it. Got an extra drive you can back up on?
