My server doesn't boot up...

Hi,

I'm using Scientific Linux on Compaq Proliant 1850R.

I've installed it on identical servers many many times and never had this problem.

This is the first time I'm installing it on this particular machine though. When I reboot the server, it just doesn't boot up. It says it's an unconfigured server and gives me a selection of operating systems i.e. Windows, Unix, Netware, etc. Linux is not listed there. Obviously, I can't select any of them -- though I tried.

If I try to go into "System Partition Utilities", it says "System Partition Utilities ar not available on this system" BUT it then boots up into Linux.

It just doesn't boot up unless I go through this every single time. I did a clean install 3 times already. Same thing happens every time.

What do you think is the problem? Could it be hardware problems? Could it be the BIOS?

I understand the the program that says the server is not configured is a part of BIOS? If that's right, I guess it's rather a BIOS issue (especially that it boots finally).
