command prompt from Gnome?
 
how do I get to the command prompt from Gnome to install drivers and the like? (I'm a deadset newbie, but wanting to learn).

Hi!

The terminal in Gnome is found under "Applications >> System Tools >> Terminal". Is that what you were looking for?.
