Changing Terminal background colour and font color
 

Hi,
I telnet to a 'linux redhat 9' machine from a windows machine. In windows machine I changed my command prompt properties as screen text to black and background color to white(Because detault settings are not clear when do presentations).

It was worked as desired until the telnet connection and the prior to typing first command. After the first command all the popup text is changed to default settings(ash letters in back background).

I think a file in the linux machine should be changed. Because this does not occure when I telnet to another Sun OS machine.

I have heard that stty command would do that.

How to solve the problem?
Any ideas appreciated. please help.
