blurry text for archlinux install from iso, unable to input with keyboard or mouse

Hello, I'm attempting to install Archlinux. When I load the iso at boot from the cd. The text that shows once the iso loads is blurry and I am unable to input anything with the keyboard. There appears to be two cursors. I wonder if this is a hardware problem or simply a bad burn? I will try other OSes to see if I have any other similar issues.

You gave no details on hardware. Sounds like it could be a driver issue. Some distros may have newer kernels and therefore give you better hardware support for your specific machine, so give another distro a try. I know Arch, while I don't use it, is supposed to be one of the bleeding edge distros if I am not mistaken, so I'm a bit surprised.

Try booting again, passing to the bootloader (usually by pressing TAB while the desired item is highlighted) compatibility options like noacpi. You may not need to do this is the ISO supplies a "fallback", "compatibility" or "rescue" mode - just select one of those instead (in that order - rescue as a last resort).

Also be aware that blurry text can also be a symptom of the requested display resolution not matching a compatible resolution of the monitor you're using. When booting, add vga=ask to the aforementioned line in the bootloader, and choose a resolution you know works well.
