When i do ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.2 i get

SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailble


Can someone tell me what this is and or how to fix it?

Generally this means that there is a conflict with IRQ settings. So it looks like the IRQ that Linux wants to use for your network card is already being used by some other bit of hardware.

Make sure you have disabled Plug and Play in your BIOS and reboot your system.
