Mobaxterm SSH client: stay connected after sleep.

Hi

I use the Mobaxterm ssh client and need to know how to configure it to stay connected after coming back from "sleep" mode!?

compared it with 'putty', I logged in using both, next day (say after 18 hours) I found putty is still connected while Mobaxterm disconnected!

for sure it's not a server error..

any idea?

I'd never heard of "Mobaxterm", so I did a search: turns out to be Windows software. Perhaps you'd do better asking at www.windowsquestions.org.

right, it's a windows app, I asked here because it's related to Linux SSHD as maybe something to fix there in the config!

btw, windowsquestions.org is forwarded to this forum

Thanks evo2.

Regards.

Not this forum, the non-*nix forum.

right, I just noticed that, when I clicked the url I thought its just forwarding!

I'm using 'Mobaxterm' as Windows 11 SSH client, connecting to OpenSSH 7.4p1, OS is Centos 7

Thank you.

It does sound like a problem related to legacy operating systems. What happens when you instead use 'Mobaxterm' from another CentOS machine or other proper desktop distro (Mint, Alpine, Manjaro, etc) instead of Vista 11?

I don't have another machine with Centos installed, I configured SSHD on Linux and changed the values "ClientAliveInterval -and- ClientAliveCountMax"..

I have another Win10 machine and will do the same test I did here for both putty & Mobaxterm.

wonder why Mobaxterm got disconnected while putty remain connected after wakeup from sleep mode!!

Thank you.
