Trying to install AMDGPU (Cinnamon, 7800xt)
Basically, I just put together a new system and although my external monitor does work when plugged into the GPU, it seems (to me) like i'm not using the proper GPU drivers.

dlf,
Welcome to LQ forums. Try using a newer kernel such as 6.5.0-18, since your current kernel 6.5.0-17 is superseded. Open Update Manager > View > Linux kernels > Continue > Select 6.5.0-18 > Install > Yes > Give password > Authenticate > Close > Restart. If that doesn’t work, you may have an amdgpu firmware problem. |
