My XFCE DT

The background is from a friend in Canada. He is on one of those islands just West of Canada, and the shot shows the sea, and mountains on the mainland.

I'm rather proud of the XFCE setup for an amateur. I spent an afternoon pulling and stretching things, and narrowing or widening them, and I'm happy with it. If you see the default xfce install, you'll know what I mean. I hardly ever minimise anything now. That's just as well, as I only have the use of one arm atm. When I update, I just copy over /etc/X11 to get the settings, though I'd like to be a bit more clinical.

It was taken by a mobile, (nearly impossible to shrink)and the screenshot is accross 2 screens, so I don't know how it came out small. Link is broken now.

Update:

I've done two things:
  1. Update XFCE to Mate, as I preferred the options & menus
  2. Updated the background with a winter scene from canada. It's a shot from one of the islands just West of Canada, showing sea & frozen mountains

Just trying to learn mate a bit at the moment:redface:
