Proxim Orinoco Silver Card not working on Sony PCG-GRZ630

Hey,

My problem is that I can't get my wireless card to work under Slackware on my Sony Vaio. 'cardctl' sees the card, and provides me with the information below. However, the card never powers up, as in the lights never come on, and 'iwconfig' doesn't see anything. I have tried several different drivers for the card already. I've tried the pcmcia-cs package, the basic orinoco and orinoco_cs drivers. I've also tried a driver that I obtained from the Proxim Website, and it still wouldn't work. In addition, one of my friends had an older wireless card that was working fine on his system, using the orinoco driver, but in my Laptop it would not power on (again, not lights, and nothing from 'iwconfig'), when I have the exact same driver installed. Again 'cardctl' saw that the card was in there. I've run out of ideas, and haven't find any relevant information so far. Any help is greatly appreciated.
