Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 Camera is not working and overheating
Hello, I installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS on my Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ARH05 a year and a half ago. Since I installed upgrades using the "Software Updater" app, the my laptop has been losing functionality or having unexpected behavior on its hardware components. The problem I face now is that the camera is not recognized and it heats up while the laptop is in use.

Could be related to heat?
Download user guide and service manual at Lenovo and follow the steps for cleaning the thing... |
I don't think it is heat related. The operating temps on the system are normal.

Then there's only studying log files left? |
Thanks for your reply. But the overheating is happening only in the camera, CPU and GPU temperatures are fine. And that temperature rise is a consequence and not the cause of the problem.
|
In any case one component overheating can have a cascade effect and cause other components overheating.
