Fedora Live USB Creator Question: Error comes up: "Missing Operating System"
OK, I don't know if this is the right part of the forum, but I'm new so I'll try to do this right. The Problem:
I have already ran Fedora Live USB Creator and that is supposed to mean I have Fedora Linux on my USB Drive. It is a 4GB PNY Mini Attache. So when I reboot my computer and click F10 (My key for BOOT Settings) I have the option to choose the USB to boot from. I do that, but an error message comes up saying "Operating System Not Found Operating System Not Found Missing Operating System". Also, when I try F2 (My Key for BIOS Settings) I go there and try to get to the USB Thing but when I click enter on it nothing happens, same goes when I try the other boot options. Please help! Thanks again, FedoraLinuxLover! |

And the USB Creator version is 3.7.1. I installed from liveCD. The Steps. I installed USB Creator. I clicked use existing iso and chose the iso Installed earlier. The Stuff was in the USB. USB is Fat32. *Hey can I uninstall the thing? I might try uninstalling and re installing from a ISO on it instead of an existing one. But I forgot how to uninstall stuff from my USB Device. Thanks, Fedora Linux Lover |
So, your main system is Fedora 11 too?
or Windows? If Fedora 11, have you looked inside the usb to see if fedora is in there? you can delete the files off usb, yes only, if you are using syslinux you don't need to delete the file called ldlinux.sys that is syslinux if you delete that you gotta re-install syslinux to usb if your main os is fedora this will be easy |

OK, can you see what's on the usb?
folders, etc after it installed? if so, post the syslinux.cfg |
syslinux.cfg?
What do you mean post the syslinux.cfg?
|
OH, meaning inside the usb should be a folder named syslinux
inside that folder should be a syslinux.cfg or extlinux.cfg by "post" I mean copy/paste it into your answer box |
